After finishing college in South Carolina, I decided it was time to move back home to New England. It wasn’t long after relocating to Vermont that I realized I wanted to pursue a career in Food Science. I joined Rhino Foods in March of 2017 and although the opportunity to work with cookie dough is initially what drew me in, Rhino’s core values and culture are truly what make it such a great company to work for and I love that I can be excited about coming in to work each day.
My role as Technical Services Specialist was a new position when I started at Rhino and is constantly evolving which keeps things interesting. I support both Quality and R&D through development and maintenance of operations documents, drive product/process changes, and maintain our list of new products for our Rhinovation team. My other interests at Rhino include sensory analysis and helping out the R&D team with sample preparation in our new lab.
When I’m not at work I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s hiking with my dog Cassidy or playing in the garden, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling!
