Maintenance TechnicianStarting Pay:
This is a non-exempt/hourly position. Grade 7 ($12.15 - $19.15).

We seek an effective team player, who will be responsible for the coordination and technical support of our production lines and will take a lead role in continuous improvement efforts.





Job Duties & Responsibilities:



• Perform a variety of skilled trade works associated with the maintenance of plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, electrical, and other mechanical systems, including installation, troubleshooting of problems, repairs and so forth. Coordinate and/or perform routine building maintenance as needed. Coordinate and/or perform a variety of skilled trades.



• Oversee and coordinate electrical installation and maintenance. Lead installation of new systems, and provide advanced troubleshooting and system design for production control systems, including PLCs. Support the increased automation of Rhino’s production processes.



• Perform a wide range of skilled trades work associated with the maintenance of production equipment: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; repair equipment if feasible or recommend outside servicing or replacement; follow and ensure that the preventative and predictive maintenance schedule is executed, perform regular preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment; offer technical advice/assistance regarding operating problems; design or modify pieces of equipment to correct production problems or enhance production equipment capabilities.



• Perform a lead role in support of the efficient coordination of all production operations: Ensure prompt and cost effective preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, continually focus on reducing costs while maintaining quality. Assist with various experiments and studies related to production procedures and related equipment implementation. Train and certify operators on equipment. Serve on and/or lead company work teams as assigned and participate in process improvements. Be on call for support on an as needed basis.



• Participate in company Product Development Process: Work with R&D and the NPD team to develop equipment/processes to produce new products; help design and install new equipment; set up and insure proper operation of new equipment before it goes to production; develop and provide training on new equipment.



• Coordinate and/or perform a variety of skilled trades work associated with the maintenance of company vehicles: service vehicles regularly; troubleshoot malfunctions; repair if feasible or recommend outside service or replacement.



• Responsible for the level and accuracy of the repair parts inventory; research usage and determine which parts seem feasible to inventory. Coordinate/pick-up parts and supplies, and run related errands. Perform various recordkeeping tasks such as parts inventory, maintenance schedules, petty cash, etc.



• Provide cost estimates for projects, equipment and needed parts. Help set weekly work schedules, and perform some related administrative tasks.



• Participate as an active member of the Safety Team, as requested.



• Other related duties and projects, as assigned.







Qualifications:



• High school education, plus four years electrical and mechanical technical training or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.



• Minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing maintenance/technician role. Food industry experience preferred.



• Proven mechanical, electrical and controls/PLC skills



• Methodical troubleshooting skills.



• Journeyman electrical license preferred.



• Broad base of knowledge and skills related to the building trades: equipment repair, mechanical systems installation and maintenance, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, etc.



• Ability to set and act on priorities and meet deadlines with minimal direction.



• Strong reading, writing and math skills. Thorough documentation.



• Some estimating, scheduling, and purchasing experience desirable.



• Ability to work cooperatively with other employees at all levels in a team-oriented work environment.



• Physical ability to perform all essential job duties, including heavy or moderate lifting, prolonged standing and walking, considerable bending, stooping and climbing.



• Flexible schedule; including on call, evening and weekend hours.



• Ability to participate in and support company stands, purpose and principles.



• Ability to convey ideas and to listen.







Work Environment:



• Rhino is a three-shift manufacturing environment. Off-shift support and presence is required.



• Food manufacturing/GMP environment.



• Working on your feet for extended periods of time. Regular heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds. Use of power tools, diagnostics, and fabrication tools.

Rhino BakerProduction Baker (Level 1)
Starting Pay:
$10.00/hour 1st shift $10.85/hour 3rd shift

Production Bakers mix, assemble and package nationally-known specialty desserts. This is a fast-paced operation. Experience in manufacturing or a team environment is beneficial but not required. Competitive skill-based pay increases as additional skills are acquired.

Rhino SanitarianSanitarian (Level 1)
Starting Pay:
$10.50/hour 2nd shift

Sanitarians clean and assemble production equipment. Must like water, have the ability to read procedures, assemble/disassemble food processing machinery and work with detergents. This is a second shift position. Hours are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
