Traditionally business draws an imaginary line between an employee’s work and life. Companies invest in job skills training. Yet employee retention, absenteeism, and productivity are strongly influenced by life outside of work. At Rhino we saw this gap as a great opportunity to help our employees see how what they learn at work can have a positive change on their lives outside of work.
In this manner, Rhino is creating a ripple effect. We invest time and resources internally in many programs that develop employees’ professional and personal skills in a way that these new strengths can be applied to life at home and in the community. The four programs we feel have had the most impact on our employees and our company are explained in more detail in the next section.
